01
Is the area accessible to pushchairs?
There is a grass track leading to the allotment site, which can become quite muddy when wet. This can restrict some access to pushchairs. Please note, the ground is slightly uneven in areas. When the weather is dry, the path is more accessible.
02
What should my child wear?
As we are participating in outdoor learning, the clothing must be appropriate to the weather. Wellies are recommended when it has been raining. There will be mud and water play involved, so a change of clothes is advisable. Please ensure that you bring warm clothing (hats, gloves, puddle suits etc) in the winter and sun cream and sun hats for the summer.
03
Unfortunately, you need to book a space for your chosen class online beforehand.
04
Are there any toilet facilities?
We have a small portaloo on site but no other toilet facilities.
Do I have to book a space?
05
Is there parking on site?
Please see the map on the homepage for parking information. Parking can be located on Lutterworth Road or Three Pots Lane. Please do not park on the gravel track leading to the allotments, as this can block access for residents.
06
Can I bring snacks and drinks?
Yes - snacks and drinks are permitted. Please ensure that snacks are nut free and keep them away from activities in case of any allergies. Hot drinks should be contained in a flask with a lid so that there is no risk of spillage.
07
The sessions are best for children and toddlers who are walking due to the ground conditions, however babies can participate in some activities. Our afternoon sessions are suitable for any child aged 12 and under - including home-educated children and children with SEND/SEMH needs.
08
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Please get in touch as soon as possible if you need to cancel your booking. If at least 24 hours notice is given, then we can transfer your booking to another available space. If the cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, we will not be able to transfer. Unfortunately, due to running costs refunds are not available.
What age are sessions suitable for?
09
Do sessions run in the winter?
Sessions run for most of the year, excluding school holidays. Please make sure that your child has adequate clothing for the elements as we will continue in any weather!
10
What happens if a session is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances?
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a session, you will have the right to attend another session offered by us (or receive a refund if you are unable to attend the rearranged session).
